This overview will show you how to access Simple Syllabus and search for course syllabi within the Simple Syllabus Library.

UH Simple Syllabus Library

Syllabi will now be stored in the Simple Syllabus library. The Syllabus Library can be used to search all class syllabi campus wide.

Access Simple Syllabus

To access Simple Syllabus, go to https://accessuh.uh.edu/login.php [1] and login using your Cougarnet credentials [2]. Click on the Simple Syllabus icon from the menu [3]. Please note that this icon will only take you to the UH Simple Syllabus Library and will NOT log you in. Please continue with steps 4-6 to log in.

This icon will take you to the public UH Simple Syllabus site where you will login [4-5]. (Please note that you can also go directly to this site https://uh.simplesyllabus.com/en-US/login to login to Simple Syllabus using your Cougarnet credentials.)

Once here click on this link to login to your Simple Syllabus Portal using your cougarnet credentials [6].

Search for Syllabi

You can search for any available UH class syllabus using the Search and filter tool.

Click on the Syllabus Library icon [7], here you can use several filters: keyword, term, organization, subject, course number, or instructor to narrow results [8]. You can also click on a college to filter by colleges [9].

My Courses

Once logged into Simple Syllabus you will be able to see My Courses. As a student, the My Courses tab [10] is a centralized collection of syllabi for the classes you are enrolled in, per academic term. You can choose to view a digital or print version of your syllabus by clicking View or Print [11].

Please note: Your instructor will provide the course syllabus at the start of the class. However, you can access it in the UH Simple Syllabus library starting one month before the class begins.

Simple Syllabus in Canvas

To view your Syllabus within Canvas (if your instructor has set it up in Canvas) click on Simple Syllabus [12]. Next click on Ok [13] to view your syllabus. Once you have read your syllabus click on the Acknowledge button [14] at the bottom.

You can also view your syllabus in a module. Click on the Modules [15]. Then click on the syllabus within the module [16].
