How to Import Canvas Final Grades to myUH PeopleSoft
At the end of semester, you can import students’ final Grades, Grade Reason and Date of Last Academic Activity from Canvas Gradebook to myUH PeopleSoft.
Part I. Prepare Canvas Gradebook
Enable the course grading scheme in course settings add the letter grade to the final total column in addition to the points/percentage.
- Open Settings
- Open Course Details
- Enable Grading Scheme
- Set Grading Scheme
To use a default grading scheme, click the Grading Scheme drop-down menu [1] and select Default Canvas Grading Scheme (A-F letter grades). Select the View button to review the grade scheme [2]. To create a grading scheme Links to an external site. for your course, click the Add New Grading Scheme button [3].
- Update Course Details
Select the Update Course Details button to Save the grade scheme. If you need to change your course grading scheme, select view and manage grading schemes Links to an external site..
- For Grade Reason of Stopped Attending add the Date of Last Academic Activity
You have the option to request for the Date of Last Academic Activity date to populate based on the student's activity within Canvas and CASA Campus Services.

Select H8 menu item within the Course menu to complete request, instructions.
Part II. Import Canvas Grades into myUH
- Go to http://accessuh.uh.edu and enter your CougarNet ID and Password.
- Once logged in, click on the myUH Self-Service
- On the main page, click Faculty Center.
- A list of your current courses will appear. Click on the Grade Rostericon to assign grades for a particular course or section.
- To import grades from Canvas scroll down the page, and click on the Canvas Import
- Grades of Unsatisfactory “U” or Failing “F” the Grade Reason (Completed the Term, Never Attended, and Stopped Attending) will be imported based on the student's last academic activity recorded in the Canvas Gradebook. (This will only occur if you selected for Automation of Date of Last Academic Activity in Canvas.) If the date or column for the last academic activity does not appear in the Canvas Gradebook, the instructor will be prompted to manually enter the grade reason and, if applicable, the date the student stopped attending.
- After the grades, grade reason and date of last academic activity has been imported, verify all columns for accuracy. Scroll down and click Save.
